General Photography FAQ
1. How long have you been a photographer?
I have over 12 years of experience shooting portrait sessions and events.
2. Do you offer outdoor and studio sessions?
Yes! I work both outdoors and indoors. My studio is your home! I bring with me all that I need to shoot the photos you see in my portfolio. Nothing better than in the comfort of your own home where your kiddos are the most comfortable. Our outdoor locations are carefully selected to capture the best of our region in the seasons it shines the most.
3. How do we book a session?
Send me an email! Let me know what you're looking for and I'd be happy to answer any questions and book a date. You'll receive a digital contract to review before booking and an invoice to make your deposit payment.
4. When will I receive my photos?
You will receive your proofs within a week of your session to choose your favourite. I'll edit your selection and have them back to your in 2 weeks for portrait sessions and 4-6 weeks for events.
5. How are photos delivered?
Photos are delivered via a private online gallery where you can choose your favourites, download, share, and order prints and products.

6. Do you offer wedding packages?
Yes! Packages range from 4 hours to full-day coverage and can include engagement sessions, albums, and second shooters.
7. Can we meet before booking?
Of course — I offer a free consultation (in person or over the phone) to chat details and see if we’re a good fit.
8. Do you travel for weddings?
Yes, I travel throughout Ontario (and beyond). Travel fees may apply depending on distance.
Newborn & Maternity Photography
9. When should I book my newborn session?
Ideally during pregnancy to guarantee availability. Newborns are best photographed 5–14 days after birth. A date is tentatively booked around your due date in order to ensure a spot. Once baby is born we can move the date if needed.
10. How long does a newborn session last?
Sessions typically run 2–3 hours, with plenty of time for feeding and soothing breaks.
11. Do you provide props/outfits?
Yes — I have a large collection of wraps, newborn outfits, and props. Parents are also welcome to bring personal items.
12. Do you offer maternity sessions?
Yes, maternity shoots are best done around 32–36 weeks of pregnancy. Moms to be have access to our client closet that includes maternity gowns and floral sashes.

13. What’s included in a cake smash session?
Each session includes three types of photos:

14. Do you provide outfits and props?
Yes! I offer a variety of outfits, accessories, and themed backdrops. Parents only need to bring the cake.
15. Do I need to bring the cake?
Yes — parents provide the cake for dietary/safety reasons. A soft cake works best!
16. How long does the session last?
Typically 1–1.5 hours to keep things fun without overwhelming your child.
17. Can siblings or family join in?
Yes — we can capture a few family/sibling shots at the start and sibling shots during the cake smash too!
18. When should I book?
Book in advance to allow me time to prepare. These sessions are usually shot 4–6 weeks before your child’s birthday to allow enough time to edit and order any prints and products before your child's birthday.
Family & Kids Photography
19. Do you do extended family sessions?
Yes! I love capturing large family groups. These sessions are so special and include all the combinations you can think of. There is an additional fee for extended sessions depending on the size of the group.
20. What should we wear and how should I prepare for my session?
Ask about our prep-guides! We have different guides for our various sessions with lots of tips on how to prepare for a great session.
21. How long is a family session?
Session are up to 1 hr long. The length of sessions vary depending and many factors such as location, how far we want to explore, age of children, moods, group size, etc. Our 1 hr sessions allow for plenty of time to not feel rushed and enjoy the session at your and your kids pace.
Booking & Payment
22. How do I secure my date?
A deposit and signed contract are required. Without both, the date remains open. You'll receive a digital contract to review before booking and an invoice to make your deposit payment.
23. What forms of payment do you accept?
E-transfer, credit card, debit, and cash.
24. What happens if it rains?
We will reschedule your session if needed due to inclement weather or move the session indoors.
25. Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes! We have both digital and hard copy gift certificates. Email to inquire.
